Abstract

Mioma uteri merupakan tumor pelvis tersering pada wanita, ditemukan tiap satu dari empat wanita usia reproduktif aktif. Kebanyakan penderita mioma uteri tidak menunjukkan gejala apapun. Etiologi pasti mioma belum diketahui, namun peran hormonal diketahui sangat penting. Mioma uteri terkadang ditemukan bersama-sama penyakit lain. Namun, sejauh ini belum ada laporan penelitian tentang penyakit-penyakit penyerta pada mioma uteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai angka kejadian mioma uteri dan penyakit-penyakit penyertanya di Laboratorium Patologi Anatomi Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin Palembang periode 2007-2011. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah deskriptif dengan desain penelitian, cross sectional. Angka kejadian mioma uteri dan penyakit-penyakit penyertanya adalah 48%. Angka kejadian mioma uteri dan penyakit-penyakit penyertanya adalah 48% dengan perincian mioma uteri dan adenomiosis sebesar 30% , kasus mioma uteri dan hiperplasia endometrium sebesar 4% serta 14% untuk kasus mioma uteri dan kista endometriosis.
