Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon tanaman buncis ( Phaseolus vulgaris L.) terhadap media bahan organik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Budidaya Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya Kecamatan Indralaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, dimulai dari bulan Mei 2010 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2010. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap ( RAL) dengan enam perlakuan, setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali sehingga terdapat 18 unit perlakuan,masing-masing unit perlakuan terdiri dari 5 tanaman sehingga terdapat 90 tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berbagai media tanam mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tanaman buncis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis keragaman menunjukkan bahwa bebagai media tanam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap peubah panjang batang, jumlah polong, berat polong, berat basah brangkas dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat akar tanaman.
