Abstract

Low Back Pain (LBP) merupakan masalah kesehatan yang mendunia dan merugikan manusia. Diperlukan terapi lain dengan efek samping lebih sedikit dibandingkan konsumsi obat. Tujuan penelititan ini adalah untuk menilai perbaikan derajat nyeri pasien LBP dengan fisioterapi Short Wave Diathermy (S WD). Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan praintervensi-pascaintervensi dengan kelompok pembanding. Lokasi penelitian di Instalasi Rehabilitasi Medik Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, pada bulan November dan Desember 2012. Subyek penelitian adalah pasien LBP rawat jalan di Instalasi Rehabilitasi Medik Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Hasil: Dari analisis selisih nilai visual analogue scale (VAS) sebelum dan sesudah terapi didapat nilai signifikan 0,000 dan dari analisis subyek penelitian dengan kelompok pembanding didapat nilai signifikan 0,404. Kesimpulan: Ada perbedaan derajat nyeri pasien LBP sebelum dan sesudah diterapi dengan SWD yang secara bermakna dipengaruhi oleh SWD
