Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain data on soil tackiness on zincalume-coated cassava plows on ultisol soil moisture content. The research was conducted at the Practicum and Research Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research starts in October 2021 until the completion of the research. The technique used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RAKF) with two treatment factors, namely the type of material (A) and soil moisture content (B). There were two levels of treatment, namely steel and zincalume and the soil moisture content consisted of three levels of treatment, namely wet soil moisture content (> 30%), moderate soil moisture content (25-30%) and dry soil moisture content. (<20%). Observation parameters were the soil attached to the plow (g), the depth of the plow (cm), the width of the plow cutting (cm), the height of the plowed soil (cm) and the width of the inverted soil from the piracy (cm). Yield of materials used in plowing with soil stickiness. Steel plows have higher soil tackiness than plows coated with zincalume. The average yield of soil adhesiveness at wet soil moisture content with a steel plow is 228.03 g and with a zincalume-coated plow 87.56 g, the average soil adhesiveness with a medium soil moisture content with steel is 97.50 g and with a steel plow. zincalume-coated singkal is 46.58 g, the average soil adhesiveness with steel is 82.03 g and with a coated plow 14.44 g.
