Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan karbohidrat dan lemak mikroalga C. pyrenoidosa, S. platensis, D. salina dan Nannochloropsis sp. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Juni 2011 di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Perikanan, Laboratorium Bersama Perikanan, Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan Program Studi Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Pertanian dan Laboratorium Bioproses Fakultas Teknik Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan empat spesies mikroalga yakni C. pyrenoidosa, S. platensis, D. salina dan Nannochloropsis sp. dan dilakukan tiga kali ulangan untuk masing-masing mikroalga. Parameter yang diamati adalah bobot kering mikroalga, kandungan glukosa terlarut, kandungan serat dan kandungan lemak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mikroalga C. pyrenoidosa, S. platensis, D. salina dan Nannochloropsis sp. memiliki nilai kandungan karbohidrat dan lemak yang berbeda-beda. Keempat spesies mikroalga memiliki nilai rerata glukosa terlarut berkisar antara 0,53-1,4% dan memiliki nilai rerata kadar serat berkisar antara 15,32-29,63%. Mikroalga yang memiliki nilai rerata kadar glukosa terlarut tertinggi adalah D. salina, sedangkan mikroalga yang memiliki nilai rerata kadar serat tertinggi adalah C. pyrenoidosa. Keempat spesies mikroalga memiliki nilai rerata lemak yang rendah yakni berkisar antara 0,17-1,63%.
