Abstract

Endometriosis, suatu penyakit yang didefinisikan sebagai pertumbuhanjaringan endometrium dengan glandula dan/atau stroma di luar kavum uteri, umumnya teijadi pada wanita usia reproduksi. Meskipun sampai saat ini etiologinya belum diketahui secara pasti, faktor keturunan dan mutasi genetik mungkin berperan dalam proses terjadinya endometriosis. Salah satu bentuk mutasi genetik, yaitu polimorfisme PROGINS (insersi Alu 306-pb). Polimorfisme ini menghambat aktivitas PR-B, sehingga rasio PR-A/PR-B meningkat dan memicu terjadinya endometriosis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi polimorfisme PROGINS (insersi Alu 306-pb) gen reseptor progesteron pada penderita endometriosis di Rumah Sakit Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif observasional terhadap 48 penderita endometriosis di RS Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Identifikasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). Genotip Tl/Tl (wildtype) ditemukan pada 43 penderita (89,6%) dan genotip T1/T2 (heterozigot mutan) pada lima penderita (10,4%). Dari 48 penderita, frekuensi alotip T1 (wild type) bernilai 91 (94,8%) dan alotip T2 (polimorfik) bernilai (5,2%). Genotip Tl/Tl (wild type) dan alotip T1 (yvild type) paling banyak ditemukan pada penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: endometriosis, polimorfisme, gen reseptor progesteron, PROGINS, insersi Alu 306-pb
