Abstract

This research is correlational research which aims to know there is the relationship between comprehension learning skills with motivation to learn students of class XI SMAN 11 Palembang. This research using the approach quantitative. Instruments collecting data using the scale Likers by using two kuisioner namely kuisioner comprehension learning skills and kuisioner motivation to learn. The population in this research is all students of class XI amounted to 412 students. Samples in this research amounted to 80 students to use a technique simple random sampling. Data analysis done by using the formula correlation products moment. The results of the analysis of the data from this research is obtained coefficient correlation of 0.69 which indicates that the comprehension learning skills and motivation to learn has a positive relationship with a strong relationship level at a significant 0.05. According to the test the hypothesis that carried out there is a significant positive relationships between comprehension learning skills and motivation to learn students of class XI in SMAN 11 Palembang. The higher the comprehension learning skills owned students the increasingly high motivation to learn students, instead of getting low comprehension learning skills owned students the lower motivation to learn students.
