Abstract

Background: Family panning is a sexual reproductive healthcare program which plays important rules in the level of local’s life quality. Midwife is a health care profession who offers Services such as obstetrics care. One of midwife’s duties is to offer family planning Services to local families, which determines the successful rate of the family planning program and reproductive health. Methcd: The obseravation method that is used in this research is descriptive obsevational method, the population of this research is all midwifes who work in Kecamatan Ilir Barat I, this research all the population become sample. Result: Midwife knowledge towards IUD in Kecamatan Ilir Barat I obseravation result with advanced level (25%), with satisfactory level (43,75%), and with unsatisfactory level (31,25%). Midwife Service towards IUD obseravation result with excellent attitude (43,75%), and with unsatifactory attitude (56,25%). Midwife skill towards IUD obseravation result with excellent behaviour (75%), and poor behaviour (25%). Conclusion: Midwifes knowledge is satisfactory. Moreover, obstetricians Service to IUD can be classified as unsatisfactory. Furthermore, obstetricians skill in regard to IUD is excellent towards.
