Abstract

Chili plants are plants which have an important role in meeting food needs in Indonesia. This research was carried out with the aim of knowing the effect of applying various doses of chicken manure on the growth and yield of chili (Capsicum annum L.) of Laris variety. This study was arranged using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) using chicken manure as a treatment with four levels of dosage, that is the ratio of soil volume and chicken manure volume, that is: P0 (control or 9:0), P1 (8:1), P2 (7:2), and P3 (6:3). Each treatment was repeated 3 times and got 12 treatment units, each treatment unit consist 3 plants, so that in total there were 36 plants. The results showed that the application of chicken manure could affect the growth and yield of chili plants. This is in line with the results of the P3 treatment which has more composition of chicken manure compared to other treatments which have the best results on the growth and yield of chili plants. In conclusion, the best treatment in this study was found in the P3 treatment with a ratio of soil and fertilizer volume of 6:3. Keywords: Chicken Manure, Chili Plants
