Abstract

South Sumatra is a province with a very wide potential for the development of floating agricultural systems. In this study, floating cultivation using a raft arranged from 10 bamboos measuring 2 x 1 M. Compound NPK fertilizer is one of the inorganic fertilizers with the availability of macro nutrients (N, P and K) so that it is efficient in time and application. This research has been carried out at the embung of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, from July to September 2022. The method used in this study was a Randomized Group Design with 4 levels of treatment. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so there were 12 treatment units, each treatment unit had 3 plants so that there were a total of 36 plants. In the dose treatment of compound NPK fertilizer, namely P0 = Control, P1 = 1,12 g compound NPK/polybag, P2 = 2,25 g compound NPK/polybag, P3 = 4.5 g compound NPK/polybag. The observation results were analyzed with fingerprints and a 5% LSD test. The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight of the plant, fresh weight of the roots, dry weight of the roots, length of the roots, degree of greenness of the leaves, leaf area and canopy area. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the application of compound NPK fertilizer dose recommended dose P2 = 2,25 g NPK/polybag is the best treatment for the growth and yield of lettuce plants in a floating manner because it has the highest average that is dominant in each observed changer.
