Abstract

Long Term Evolution or known as LTE is high speed telecommunication network which has downlink access speed up to 100 Mbps and uplink access speed up to 50 Mbps in maximum range up to 100 km. LTE network had been standardized by 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project). LTE network supports real-time applications which is one of them is VoIP. Voice over Internet Protocol or abbreviated to VoIP is voice telecommunication technology which is use voice codec to communicating to each other in a network. Parameters those affected VoIP quality are transmission delay, throughput and packet loss. Goal of this research is for improving quality service on VoIP by using 4G LTE network. According to the research that has been done, the highest transmission delay value is 17.167s, while the highest throughput value is 20.10 kBps and the highest packet loss percentage is 0.868%.
