Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui salinitas yang berbeda untuk waktu penetasan telur, laju penetasan telur, persentase penetasan telur, laju penetasan telur, persentase larva normal dan kelangsungan hidup larva ikan kerapu sunu {Plectropomus sp) sampai umur 3 hari. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di Bali Besar Pengembangan Budidaya Laut Lampung (BBPBL), Desa Hanura, Propinsi Lampung pada bulan Maret 2008. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan lima perlakuan salinitas yang berbeda yaitu Po (kontrol), Pi (30±0,5%o), P2 (32±0,5%o), P3 (34±0,5%o), P4 (36±0,5%o). Parameter yang diamati adalah waktu penetasan, Persentase penetasan, laju penetasan, persentase larva normal dan kelangsungan hidup larva umur 3 hari dan parameter kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu yang di butuhkan untuk waktu 53 jam, 18,31 jam, 17,12 jam, 16,17 jam dan 15,09 jam. Waktu penetasan telur akhir pada perlakuan Po, Pi, P2, P3 dan P4 adalah 19,54 jam, 20, 33 jam, 19,18 jam, 18,29 jam dan 18,13 jam. Persentase penetasan pada perlakuan Po, Pi, P2, P3 dan P4 adalah 67,67 %, 65 %, 75 %, 82,33 % dan 62,67 %. Laju penetasan pada perlakuan Po, Pi, P2, P3 dan P4 adalah 33,50 ekor/jam, 32,08 ekor/jam, 35,72 ekor/jam, 37,66 ekor/jam dan 20,64 ekor/jam. Persentase larva normal pada perlakuan P0, Pi, P2, P3 dan P4 adalah 73,39 %, 68,16 %, 79,05 %, 83,61 % an 65,96 %. Kelangsungan hidup larva sampai umur 3 hari pada perlakuan P0, Pi, P2, P3 dan P4 adalah 67,48 %, 66,15 %, 71,09 %, 76,89 % dan 60,11 %. Hasil pengukuran kualitas air adalah pH (7,10 - 7,41), DO( 5,0 - 5,78 mg/1) dan suhu ( 27,0° - 27,80°C).
