Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan salinitas yang berbeda terhadap kepadatan populasi D. salina dengan menggunakan media Conwy. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2009 di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diujicobakan adalah P1 (salinitas 15 ppt), P2 (salinitas 30 ppt), P3 (salinitas 60 ppt), P4 (salinitas 120 ppt), P5 (salinitas 180 ppt), P6 (salinitas 240 ppt). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan salinitas 60 ppt memberikan hasil kepadatan populasi D. salina yang terbaik, yaitu 1,940 x 107 sel ml-1 dan laju pertumbuhan sebesar 35,270% hari-1.
