Abstract

The image taking process that occurs frequently gets a blur effect due to degradation. Image deconvolution is needed for the image restoration process that has been degraded by deblurring. The operation of returning damaged images and estimating the original image that it’s blur operator is unknown called blind deconvolution. This study applies deblurring to the image using blind deconvolution algorithm with rule-based approach to determine the best factor value in the deblurring process as a reference for estimating the blur operator. The indicator of this research is the comparison of the PSNR value of the blur image and the deblurring image to determine the ability of the method applied. PSNR increasement that does not significant made the restoration process less good. The higher the blur value on the image, the more difficult the debluring process will be. The PSNR value obtained in this reasearch is 26.9396 dB.
