Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy and demographic factors on investment decisions in gold. This study use a quantitative approach with survey method. Population in study the people in the Palembang City who invest in gold. The research sample consisted of 100 people in Palembang City which were divided proportionally in 18 sub-districts. The research analysis technique is quantitative descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling. The result show that financial literacy has a positive effect on investment decisions in gold, and investment experience have a positive effect on investment decisions in gold. While gender, age and income do not effect investment decisions in gold.
