Abstract

This study aims to prove the influence of the application cooperative learning model the type of student teams-achievement divisions (STAD) on student’s learning motivation in economics at SMA Negeri 1 Sekayu. The research used is a causal associative research method. The population in this study were student’s of class XII and XI social studies at SMA Negeri 1 Sekayu. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with research sample, namely student’s of class XI IPS 1. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Learning motivation data analysis techniques obtained from pre-test and post-test result. The hypothesis used parametric statistics, namely the paired sample t-test, based on the results of the t-test, it is obtained that t_hitung ≤ t_tabel is – 37,51 ≤ 1,994, which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded there is an influence of the application cooperative learning model the type of STAD on student’s learning motivation in economics at SMA Negeri 1 Sekayu. It is recommended that educator’s should be able to know and understand the application cooperative learning model the type of STAD and student’s learning motivation.
