Abstract
An ombrometer observatory has been designed using an ultrasonic sensor US-015 so that it can measure rainfall levels automatically and send rainfall data to the website using the NodeMCU ESP8266. This study designed an observatory ombrometer using an ultrasonic sensors US-015 in order to able to measure the level of rainfall automatically and send the data to the website using NodeMCU ESP8266. This research aim to make an automatic rainfall measuring and monitoring device with the Internet of Things (IoT) concept. The tests were carried out in the laboratory and field using a rainfall measuring cup and the measurement ranges were 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, and 25 mm. The data in laboratory tests convincing the characteristics of device with precision and accuracy rate of 100%. Meanwhile, field testing are caried out by taking rainfall data were sent and saved to the website at fisika-mipa-unsri.com via ESP8266 module.
