Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) to identify and describe the marketing channels for coffee beans in the Penyandingan Village, Semende Darat Laut District, Muara Enim District. (2) Analyzing marketing margins, marketing benefits, farmer's share and efficiency of the coffee bean marketing channel in Penyandingan Village. This location was chosen deliberately with the consideration that this location is one of the areas with the largest coffee production producer in the Muara Enim District area. Data collection was carried out in April 2022. The research method used was a survey method. The sampling method used is simple random sampling and snowball sampling. Data processing methods in descriptive analysis and contribution analysis are presented in tabulation of data processing with Microsoft Excel. The results of this study indicate that there are three patterns of marketing channels that exist in Penyandingan Village. The three marketing channels are: 1) Farmers – Middlemen – Coffee Agroindustry, 2) Farmers – Middlemen – Wholesalers – Coffee Agroindustry, and 3) Farmers – Middlemen – Retailer– Wholesalers – Coffee Agroindustry. Marketing channel I has a marketing margin value of Rp2.000.00/kg and a profit ratio of 2,58, and the percentage of farmer's share is 76,69%. Marketing channel II has a marketing margin of Rp2.500.00/kg with a marketing profit ratio of 3,64, and a farmer's share percentage of 74,41%. While the third marketing channel has a marketing margin value of Rp2.500.00/kg, and a profit ratio of 3,16, and the percentage of farmer's share is 74,41%. So it can be concluded that the existing marketing channels in Penyandingan Village, Semende Darat Laut sub-district are declared efficient. However, marketing channel I is the most efficient channel compared to marketing channel II and III.
