Abstract

The research locations are in Pulau Pinang District and its surroundings, Lahat Regency. Geographically the study area is located at 48 M 332724.86 E and 48 M 9575483.42 S. The purpose of this research is to determine the areas that are prone to landslides, and their mitigation. The parameters needed in analyzing slope stability are rainfall parameters, slope parameters, soil type parameters, land cover parameters and rock shear strength parameters, using the Bishop method in doing it using Rocscience slide V6.0 software. The parameters are cohesion (c), internal shear angle (ϕ), and unit weight (Υ). The safety factor value is observation location 1 = 0.794 (labile slope) with tuff lithology, observation location 2 = 1.192 (critical slope) with claystone lithology, observation location 3 = 2.320 (stable slope) with claystone lithology, observation location 4 = 1.087 (slope critical) with claystone lithology, 5 = 1.136 (critical slope) with claystone lithology. Mitigation that can be done is by using soil nailing or changing the geometry on the slope to a multiple slope.
