Abstract

The use of solar energy as electrical energy with Solar Power Plants (PLTS) is very necessary because the amount of electrical energy demand in Indonesia tends to increase. Solar Power Plants (PLTS) have advantages such as not producing air pollution, and being easy to obtain. In this study PLTS is associated with the performance of electric stoves. The purpose of this study is to simulate the performance of a solar power plant on a 300 watt electric stove and analyze the performance and create a PLTS circuit on an electric stove. The study was conducted for 10 days starting on June 01, 2022 – June 10, 2022. The study used 100 Wp Polysrystaline Solar Panels. Terminal block, Solar Charge Controller, and uses 2 loads, namely a 12 V battery, and a DC electric stove as a means of cooking rice and water. Data collection was carried out starting at 08:00-17:00 WIB with the panel facing west by 45 degrees. The data obtained, obtained the maximum average voltage on the 1st day (19.84 V), the minimum average voltage on the eighth day (18.02 V); The maximum current is on the 6th day (1.85 Amp), the minimum current is on the 7th day (1.12 Amp); Maximum panel temperature on the 1st day (33.06 oC), minimum panel temperature on the 2nd day (26.77 oC) and the longest electric stove usage is on the first day with a duration of 62 minutes 2 seconds with a maximum stove temperature of 189,9 oC.
