Abstract

The location of this research is located in Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency, West Sumatra Province. The research area is an area that is included in the Bukit Barisan mountains. Morphological conditions that have high elevations and steep slopes, as well as poor land use are factors that cause rock or soil mass movements (landslides). The study was conducted using field observation methods to obtain evidence of landslides that occurred in the research area and slope stability analysis based on geographic information systems using the Normal Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Relief Diversity parameters was carried out using GIS applications. The vegetation index has a relationship with relief diversity where if the relief diversity index value is high, the vegetation index value is low. Landslide Prone map of the research area shows the research area has a high level of landslide susceptibility. Kata Kunci: NDVI, Relief Diversity, Longsor, Sistem Informasi Geografis
