Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of satisfaction of students majoring in Communication Sciences in watching prank content on Youtube. The theory used in this study is the Uses and Gratification Theory, specifically. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with questionnaire tools. Respondents to this research are students majoring in communication science class of 2021. Sriwijaya University, Palembang campus who watch prank content on Youtube. The results showed that the level of student satisfaction in consuming prank content was quite high, by looking at the ratio of GS 146 and GO 150.6, then the calculation value of the level of audience satisfaction in consuming Youtube prank content among students majoring in communication science class of 2021 Sriwijaya University Palembang Campus was 4,625 with a fairly high category Keywords: Satisfaction level, Motive, Prank, Youtube, Student
