Abstract

MASAGUS GUNAWAN. Analysis Of Added Value And Factors Affecting The Decision Of Organic Robusta Coffee Farmers In Producing Coffee Products In Sumber Karya Village Gumay Ulu District Lahat District. (Supervised by AMRUZI MINHA and IDHAM ALAMSYAH). This study aims to: 1) Calculate and perform a statistical analysis of different tests of farmers' income from producing coffee products that are processed with coffee that is not processed statistically. 2) Conduct an analysis of the added value of product processing from coffee beans to ground coffee. 3) Analyze the factors that influence farmers' decisions to process coffee beans into ground coffee products. The location of this research was carried out in the village of Sumber Karya, District of Gumay Ulu, District of Lahat. The time for research and field data collection was carried out from April to May 2020. The research method used was a survey method. The data that is processed and used in research is sourced based on primary data and secondary data. Based on the research results obtained: the average total income of farmers from producing organic Robusta coffee in the village of Sumber Karya which processes post-harvest products in the form of coffee powder is IDR 165,609/Kg. Meanwhile, the average total income of farmers from organic Robusta coffee production without product processing is IDR 66,339/Kg. The results of the analysis of differences in income or independent t-test statistics show that there is a significant difference between the income of farmers from producing ground coffee products and farmers who produce unprocessed coffee in the form of coffee beans. The average added value from the activities of farmers producing organic robusta by processing products from coffee beans or green been into ground coffee that is ready to be marketed is IDR 61,162.38/Kg. Factors influencing the farmer's decision to process the product are income and experience in coffee production. Factors of age, education, and area of farming land have no significant effect on farmers' decisions in post-harvest processing of organic robusta coffee products in the form of processing coffee beans or green beans into ground coffee products.
