Abstract

The role of technology in vehicle monitoring systems in traffic is still widely used, one of which is the use of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology as a vehicle tracking sensor in traffic. In this study, RFID technology uses an object in the form of a passive tag which will be simulated as a vehicle crossing the highway. Then, data processing was carried out using the Multilateration method which was then optimized with the Nelder Mead Algorithm. As for the results of this study the Multilateration method can determine the position of the coordinates on the target tag (vehicle) based on the RSSI value with an estimated standard percentage accuracy rate of 73.48018% in the first line and 73.814288% in the second line.
