Abstract

Sources of lead pollution in kemplang generally come from many factors, namely water, air, food ingredients and tools or containers used in the production of kemplang. This study aims to analyze the magnitude of the health risks that will be caused by consuming kemplang containing lead. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research using the Environmental Health Risk Analysis (EHRA) method. Samples of respondents were taken by purposive sampling as many as 96 respondents and 7 samples of Kemplang samples. The kemplang samples were analyzed using the Microwaves Plasma Atomic Spectroscopy (MP-AES) method to determine the levels of lead present in the kemplang in Meranjat III Village. The results of this study indicate that the average lead concentration in kemplang is 1.74 mg/kg exceeding the maximum limit determined by the National Standardization Agency. There are 8.33% of respondents who have an RQ value> 1 in lifetime exposure to non-carcinogenic effects. The conclusion of this study is that several respondents in Meranjat III Village have non-carcinogenic risks so they need to seek risk management. Risk management that can be done is to set a safe concentration of lead at 9.81 mg/kg for RQ and 5.64 mg/day for ECR and set the total intake rate of kemplang at 0.18 mg/day for RQ and 0.10 mg /kg for ECR
