Abstract

ID3 algorithm has advantage in classify and learning skill well, and C4.5 algorithm has advantage in processing numeric data continuous, processing categorical data, and handling missing attribute value. Different skill from two algorithms are being based to prove the best result between ID3 algorithm and C4.5 algorithms. This research used 5 different datasets : breast-cancer dataset, cars dataset, vote dataset, audiology dataset, and soybeans dataset. The result showed that ID3 algorithm accuracy is higher than C4.5 algorithm accuracy in 3 datasets : dataset breast-cancer (88.83%), dataset cars (96.63%), dataset vote (97.99%), and highest accuracy C4.5 algorithm in 2 datasets : dataset audiology (90.66%) dan dataset soybeans (97.16%).
