Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to produce module based on Problem Based Learning of structure molecule based on VSEPR theory which is valid and practical. This research implemented in program study chemistry education for 2017 students. The development model used was the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Techniques of data collection are questionnaires and walkthrough. The result validity of content are 0,75 of ‘Aiken coefficient which categorized as high and 0,60 of Kappa coefficient which categorized as being, the validity of design are 0,87 of ‘Aiken coefficient which categorized as high and 1,00 of Kappa coefficient which categorized as very good, the validity of language are 0,80 of ‘Aiken coefficient which categorized as high and 1,00 of Kappa coefficient which categorized as very good. Practical score in developmental testing I of Cronbach’s Alpha is 0,61 which categorized as high and in developmental testing II of Cronbach’s Alpha is 0,64 which categorized as high. Based on score get it show that the module resulting has met the categorized valid and practical.
