Abstract

SMA Bina Jaya Palembang's scheduling system is still manually made. When creating schedules, the Vice Principals of Curriculum have to consider many aspects which hinders the scheduling process. Genetic algorithm has been chosen in this study because it has been widely used in the solution of problems in the form of scheduling, this algorithm uses fitness as a benchmark for whether an individual is categorized as a good individual or not, system testing is done by testing several parameters which produce the best fitness value Test results show that the fitness value is close to 1.0, which proves the system was successful in meeting the existing needs.
