Abstract

As time goes by, the use of electrical energy is increasing in everyday life. Accompanied by the increasing population growth rate of the need for the quality and continuity of existing electrical energy. However, in the process of generating electrical energy still using fossil resources, for this reason, power plants using renewable energy such as solar power plants (PLTS) and wind power plants (PLTB) are known as hybrid systems that combine two or several energy sources (PLTH). Where these two plants use renewable energy in the form of solar and wind power which is somewhat more environmentally friendly. In this study, the author analyzed how big the potential of the two power plants is by using HOMER (hybrid optimization of multiple energy) software, where this application is used to design and analyze a hybrid energy power generation system. This test used solar radiation data and wind speed data from the National Aeronautic and Space (NASA). As for the load, it uses several loads at the IBNU SUTOWO Baturaja Regional Hospital. The energy produced by the power plant is 1,083,872 kWh/year. For solar power generation it is 524,078 kWh/year while wind power generation is 388,566 kWh/year.
