Abstract
Composite resin as a restoration material in a teeth would interact with many liquid, whether it is inside mouth itself or liquid that comes jrom outside. Modern lifestyle nowadays makes our society consume different kinds of beverage, include alcoholic beverage. The aim of this research was to measure the influence of alcohol concentrate to the composite resin compressive strength. The subject of this study was cylindrical hybrid composite resin (Charisma ) with 5mm in diameter, 3mm in thickness, and light cured for 20 seconds. The eighteen samples were divided into three groups with six samples in each group. Each sample were immersed with aquabidest for 24 hours to make the same dampness. Then, each group were immersed with aquabidest, beer 4,42%, and beer 5% during 3,5 days. The compressive strength of the sample were measured using Universal Testing Machine. The data were analyzed by one way ANOVA and continue with LSDo.os test. The average result of compressive strength are, at 0% (150N/mm2), at 4,42 % (l38,29N/mm2), and at 5% (84,33N/mm2). The most powerful compressive strength is at 0% and the weakest is at 5%. The result showed there were a significant influence between the alcoholic beverage in some concentration to the decrease of hybrid composite compressive strength.
