Abstract
Casein phosphopeptides-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) products have been widely used in the field of preventive pedodontic. CPP-ACP has a protective effect of anti-caries by inhibiting demineralization and enhancing remineralization. Demineralization by acid solution causes enamel deformation. The main content of demineralization is calcium. The purpose of this study was to test the ejfects of CPPACP on calcium dissolution from deciduous teeth ’s enamel after soaked on coca-cola with 4.5 acidity, was measured by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The method of this research is true experimental studies (in vitro) by using statistical analysis of T-test. Samples were 18 deciduous teeth that is divided into two groups: Controls (without application of CPP-ACP) and treatment (application of CPPACP). The result showed the solubility of calcium in deciduous teeth’s enamel are applied CPP-ACP during 1 week is 1,0238 pg/ml, in deciduous teeth’s enamel are not applied CPP-ACP is 1,0255 p g/ml. In conclusion, there was no significant effect of Casein Phosphopeptide-amorphous Calcium Phospate (CPP-ACP) on calcium dissolution from deciduous teeth’s enamel in acid solution (coca-cola with 4.5 acidity).
