Abstract

The effect of demonstration learning method on the students’ learning results in economics subject in State Senior High School 5 Prabumulih with examined whether there was the effect of demonstration learning method on the students’ learning results. This research design used Quasi Experimental Design in the form of Post Test Only Control Design. The population of this research were all of the 10th grade social sciences students in State Senior High School 5 Prabumulih consisted of 3 classes while the samples that were used as experimental class namely the first 10th grade social sciences with a number of 31 students and at the control class which was the second 10th grade social sciences with a number of 29 students that were determined by using Cluster Random Sampling. Meanwhile, the technique of data collection that was used namely test and observation. The hypothesis used parametric statistics which was t test (Polled Variance) and was obtained t_counted= 3,7141 >t_table=2,006 so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. So that it could be concluded that there was the effect of demonstration learning method on the students’ learning results in economics subject in State Senior High School 5 Prabumulih. It is recommended in the implementation of demonstration learning method teachers must be able to guide students in order to bring and prepare tools that will be demonstrated in accordance with the learned materials.
