Abstract

The objectives of the research was to evaluate effect of rain duration and intensity to infection and development of corynespora leaf fall diseases on five rubber clons. The research was conducted at Phytophatology laboratorium and green house at the Plant Pest and Diseases Departement, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, from April till September 2009. The research was arranged in Factorial Grouped Randomized Design. The mean factors was rain duration which are : 1 hour, 2 hours and 3 hours. The second factor were rain intensity, namely: light, middle and heavy rain, while the thirth factor were rubber clons which were: GT1, PR 261, BPM 24, IRR 39 and BPM 1. The treactment was done tree replication. Result of the study showed that light rain was cause diseases severity and leafs fall higher than the other, that were 45.69 percent and 33.65 percent. The lowes were heavy rain that was only 9.56 percent with leafs fall 2.86 percent. The rubber clon which showed the diseases severity higher was GT1( 33.88 percent). The interaction which show dieases severity dan leafs fall higher was the combination of GT1, 1 hour light rain, that was 71.46 persen nd 70.84 percent.
