Abstract

This research intents on increase of thermal efficiency of Steam Power Plant Bukit Asam. Method used is by making simulation in use of Newton Raphson Method. The steps are, first make function of mathematical equations of test performance data up to three periods in one year and energy balance equations, second solve mathematical function equations by making simulation program in use of Newton Raphson Method. After simulation has been performed, it is acquired that thermal efficiency increases 4% and electricity production increases by 3,26 MW.
