Abstract

Sedimentation is the process by which material is usually deposited in the form of soil, sand, plants and other organic materials. Precipitation that occurs has the advantage that is as a supply of excavation C. However, the bad impact is the change in river morphology that affects the reservoir capacity of the river, sedimentation causes flood levels to rise. There are many ways you can measure the amount of sedimentation. the first measurement of sediment directly with Partech 470 (digital overpass sediment measurement tool), with this tool the amount of sediment can be known by inserting the gauge into the river, then it can be directly known the thickness of the sediment that occurs. This method can only be known the amount of sediment that occurs at that time. Second, measuring sedimentation using the sediment load estimation method, this estimation is done using standard formulas, with this Estimation method besides knowing the amount of sediment can be used to predict the amount of sediment that will occur. This research was conducted in Kelekar River by measuring sediment directly with Partech 470, taking USDH 48 suspendid sediment samples, river hydrodynamic, bed sediment samples and matrial sediment samples, then tested in the laboratory. The comparison results between partech470 and USDH48 sample laboratory test results have very big differences. The magnitude of sedimentation rates that occurred in the Kelekar river based on laboratory test results (elevated sediments and base sediments), the magnitude of the sedimentation rate in section A was 78441,595 tons / year, section B was 120989,966 tons / year, and in section C it was 120989 , 966 tons / year.
