Abstract

Air Conditioning or AC at this time has become a necessity for most people in the world. So AC is required to save electricity, easy maintenance and refrigerant used must be environmentally friendly. Refrigerant is a working fluid that circulates in AC Split. Refrigerant is the most important component of the AC Split cycle because of the refrigerant that causes cooling effect on AC Split. Refrigerant serves as a working fluid in AC Split. The refrigerant absorbs heat from a site and disposes it to another location, usually through evaporation and condensation mechanism. In the vapor compression cycle, the refrigerant will undergo a continuous evaporation and cooling process. With R- 410A and R-134A refrigerant with valve opening at 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4, the Coefficient Of Performance (COP) of R-410A refrigerant is higher than R- 134A. For R-410A refrigerant at opening valve 1/4 is generated COP 5.11, at opening valve 2/4 are generated COP 5.89, at opening valve 3/4 generated COP 7.43, and at opening valve 4/4 are generated COP 10.09. while the R- 134A refrigerant at opening valve 1/4 generated COP 4.51, at opening valve 2/4 generated COP 5.07, at opening valve 3/4 generated COP 6.06, and at opening valve 4/4 generated COP 7.64.
