Abstract

PT. Saptaindra Sejati (SIS) is a business unit mining company PT. Adaro Energy Tbk engaged in the coal mining contractors. In conducting the activities of stockpiling overburden PT. SIS working on dumping activities by methods in the pit area on a former dump pit the Central Dungeon (IPD Central). Problems that must be faced is not be safe disposal IPD design Central year 2018. It caused a lot of factors such as a weak field at the base there is a disposal in the form of mud, a great imposition on areas of weakness, as well as the properties of the material heap. The challenge is to design the slope of disposal in such a way so that it remains stable and in accordance with the targets that have been set. This research was conducted by processing data from in situ test results and laboratory test results. Insitu testing done is drill testing of Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and mud on the sounding test Sump. Tests conducted in the laboratory are conducted in the laboratory of Geotechnical and PT Adaro Indonesia Hydrologi and then retrieved the value of the properties of materials that are necessary for the stability of slope analysis done subsequent method of equilibrium the limits of Generalized Limit Equilibrium (GLE) using the Slide software 6.0 Safety factor on design of IPD Central disposal resulting 2018 is 0957 and 1,116 at each cross-section. This figure is below the value of the safety factor specified by PT Adaro Indonesia (FK ≥ 1.2). Therefore, the design of the IPD Central disposal 2018 requires improvement. The condition of the improvements that ideal is with how to remove all the mud in the sump area C and fill it back up with a heap of material so that the resulting value of the safety factor of 1,253 and 1,326 at each cross-section. Many constraints to obtain ideal conditions, the condition of the water coming into the area disposal IPD Central. Therefore, there is another improvement recommendations by using the method of mud-loading urges so that the resulting safety factor of 1,291 and 1,317 at each cross-section.
