Abstract

PLTU Keban Agung Lahat 2x135 MW memiliki dua unit pembangkit yang masing-masing unit pembangkit memiliki satu unit menara pendingin dengan tipe induced draft counter flow. Pada setiap unit menara pendingin terdapat 5 buah menara pendingin dengan geometris dan desain yang sama. Menara pendingin pada PLTU ini dioperasikan dalam keadaan beban yang tidak tetap. Hal ini disebabkan karena besar kecilnya permintaan produksi listrik dari PLN terhadap PLTU Keban Agung Lahat. Menara pendingin yang akan dianalisa hanya satu buah menara pendingin pada unit satu. Hal ini dikarena menara pendingin unit dua memiliki desain dan geometris yang sama dengan menara pendingin unit satu. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan cara melakukan pengukuran langsung dan mengambil data yang sudah ada pada control panel untuk data operasi selama satu hari dalam kurun waktu 14 hari . Dari Analisa performansi menara pendingin didapatkan hasil bahwa efektivitas, beban kalor, laju pengupan dan laju aliran massa air pengganti akan semakin meningkat ketika terjadi kenaikan beban hingga pada beban maksimum.
