Abstract
Changes in physiological conditions can be known by observing physiological changes that occur such as rectal temperature, respiratory frequency and respiration rate. This research aims to study information on adaptability and physiological responses in heat stresst of Kacang goats. This research was conducted in July - September 2022, in the farm barn on Jalan Sarjana, Indralaya. This study used 6 female Kacang goats aged 6 - 7 months, using the T-test method using 2 treatments and 6 replications of normal temperature and hot temperature. The feed provided consisted of grass hay (Megathyrsus maximus) and Concenterate consistent of: Corn (55%), copra (25%), fishmeal (15%), molasses (3%), mineral premix (1%), and salt (1%). The results of the analysis showed that the respiratory rate was not significantly affected (P > 0.05) while, rectal, rectal surface, thigh, skin and nose temperatures were significantly affected (P < 0.05), In conclusion, the results of this study indicate that Kacang goats placed in hot temperature cages will experience an increase in rectal, rectal surface, skin, thigh, and nasal temperature.
