Abstract

FATIKA MAHARANI. The Effect Combination Cassava Meal (Manihot esculenta) and Indigofera zollingeriana as a Energy Sources in Diet of Carcass Quails (Supervised by Dr. RIZKI PALUPI, S.Pt., M.P). The study determined the use of combination of cassava meal (Manihot esculenta) and Indigofera zollingeriana as a energy sources in diet to carcass of quails. The data conducted through two month at the Poultry Experimental Cage Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The experimentally design was conducted used 150 DOQ. The which consisted of 5 treatments and five replications. Used on CCI (a combination of cassava tubers and Indigofera zollingeriana leaf meal) as a substitute for corn, which was different proportions sequentially (P1=10%, P2=20%, P3=30%, and P4=40%). Observed in this study: live weight, carcass percentage and abdominal fat percentage. The research data were analyzed using ANOVA, Duncan's Multitype Range Test. The result of combination cassava and Indigofera zollingeriana had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the live weight and carcass percentage ratiobut had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the abdominal fat percentage quails. Based on the research concluded that the combination of cassava tubers and Indigofera zollingeriana leaf flour at the level of 20% can be used as an energy as a substitute for corn without having a different impact on live weight, carcass percentage and abdominal fat percentage at quails.
