Abstract

The development of increasingly sophisticated technology demands sophistication in all things, without exception, including in serving food and drinks in fast food restaurants. Coffee is one of the drinks that many Indonesians like. The distinctive aroma and taste packaged by coffee make the opium connoisseurs addicted so they want to taste it again, moreover enjoying a cup of coffee is very attached to the lifestyle of Indonesian people in various activities. This is an indicator of the cause of the increase in coffee consumption in Indonesia by 6-8 percent annually. The process of making coffee drinks carried out by Indonesian people is usually done manually, namely by pouring coffee powder mixed with sugar and brewing it using hot water with a temperature of 80˚C to 90˚C, where the measurement uses an approximate concept. However, the process of making coffee drinks that is done manually requires quite a long time when compared to the level of activity and the various activities that are waiting to be done. Based on these activities, other alternatives should be needed to replace these activities to make them easier and more practical, for example by providing an automatic coffee maker. An automatic coffee maker is a technology that was deliberately created to change an activity that is manual to automatic with the aim of speeding up the process of making coffee using Arduino UNO as a Microcontroller, Push Button which functions as a button to select flavor options, water volume and confirmation. LCD 20x4 to display the working process of the tool, Loadcell sensor as a scale that will weigh the weight of coffee, sugar and water that will come out according to the adjusted dosage, DC Motor as an indicator for coffee powder and sugar coming out of the container, Servo MG996R as an indicator that direct the Loadcell and the cup towards the sugar, coffee and water containers.
