Abstract

Salah satu masalah lingkungan yang tidak bisa lepas dari masyarakat sekarang ini adalah limbah. Rumah sakit adalah salah satu penghasil limbah baik itu limbah cair ataupun padat karena di dalamnya akan terjadi interaksi antara kelompok masyarakat penderita penyakit, kelompok masyarakat pemberi pelayanan, kelompok pengunjung dan kelompok lingkungan sekitar. Limbah cair pada rumah sakit diolah dalam Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi antara volume air limbah yang dihasilkan dengan kapasitas IPAL, serta menganalisis risiko IPAL dari sebuah Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD). Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan mengobservasi IPAL RSUD tersebut. Tempat penelitian dilakukan pada IPAL RSUD Kayuagung. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah volume air limbah yang dihasilkan melebihi kapasitas IPAL yang ada, sedangkan identifikasi risiko yang dilakukan dengan observasi terdapat dua variabel yang mendapatkan katagori baik yaitu variabel A. Sarana Pengolahan dan Variabel B Saluran Pembungan, sedangkan dua variabel lainnya mendapatkan katagori tidak baik yaitu Variabel C. Peralatan Standar IPAL dan Variabel D. Syarat Standar Kualitas.
