Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts to improve the economy of rattan craftsman families through TikTok Shop in Kelurahan Perahu Dipo Village, Pagaralam City. Type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques with interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects in this study were 6 rattan craftsmen in Perahu Dipo Village. The results of this study show that: 1) Work, working as a rattan craftsman for more than 5 years and 2 years, rattan craftsmen have never made sales through TikTok Shop, just 1 month ago created the TikTok Shop application. 2) Income, rattan craftsmen get income of Rp.57.000 – Rp.225.000,- in 1 month selling using TikTok Shop as a place to sell rattan crafts. 3) Assets owned, rattan craftsmen while selling rattan crafts have assets such as houses, land, rice fields, gardens, vehicles, livestock, and electronic devices. 3 rattan craftsmen have savings. The place of business occupied by rattan craftsmen belongs to the Public Works Department. Sales through TikTok Shop for one month have not been able to help rattan craftsmen to be able to increase assets and increase savings. 4) Meeting the needs and expenses, rattan craftsmen meet their needs and expenses from selling rattan. Sales through TikTok Shop help them to meet food needs such as to buy rice, vegetables, and children's school needs. The activities that have been carried out through the TikTok Shop as an effort to improve the economy of rattan craftsmen in Perahu Dipo Village are by helping to sell rattan crafts in Perahu Dipo Village through TikTok Shop as an additional medium in selling crafts and to help increase the economic income of rattan craftsmen families from sales through TikTok Shop.
