Abstract

Research and development of learning videos has been conducted on the material of writing persuasive texts in class VIII SMP Negeri 56 Palembang. This research aims to describe the results of the needs analysis of teachers and students, media design, and the results of expert validation of learning videos using the doratoon application on the material of writing persuasive texts for students in class VIII SMP Negeri 56 Palembang. This study uses a research and development method using the Alessi and Trollip development model. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, needs analysis questionnaires, and validation assessment sheets. The validation assessment was assessed by three experts covering aspects of material, language, and media. Based on the results of validation by experts, this learning video using the doratoon application can be categorized as very feasible.
