Abstract
Moral refers to acceptable and unacceptable behavior, ethical and/or unethical behavior, and ways of interacting. Moral development can be influenced by external factors, namely: parents, peer groups, and technological developments, one of which is gadgets. Gadgets are electronic equipment in which there are features that have been updated so that they can facilitate human work. This study aims to provide an overview of the level of moral development of class XI students at SMA Negeri 06 Prabumulih who are indicated to be addicted to gadgets. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population in this study were 33 students in class XI SMA Negeri 06 Prabumulih who indicated they were addicted to gadgets and 33 students were sampled using the total sampling technique. The data in this study were collected using a moral development questionnaire via the Google form. The data analysis technique uses the percentage formula. Based on the results of research on the level of moral development of class XI students of SMA Negeri 06 Prabumulih who indicated gadget addiction, data obtained as much as 21% (7 students) had a high level of moral development, 61% (20 students) had a moderate level of moral development, 18% ( 6 students) have a low level of moral development. It can be concluded that the level of moral development of class XI students at SMA Negeri 06 Prabumulih who are indicated to be addicted to gadgets tends to be in the moderate category. Therefore, teachers in schools can provide learning and educational facilities as a preventive effort so that students achieve optimal development. Keywords : Gadgets, Moral Development, Adolescence.
