Abstract
The waters of the strait of bangka is a fertile waters because it is flanked by two mainland that is the mainland of sumatra and bangka which give a lot of nutrient input from the mainland through the river to the sea. Chlorophyll -a is one of the pigments found in phytoplankton in waters that role as photosynthesis. Phytoplankton, zooplankton and bacteria are very useful in the food chain because it can affect the level of water fertility. The purpose of this study was to analyze the daily concentration of chlorophyll -a based on CTD results and laboratory analysis and to analyze the relevance of daily chlorophyll-a concentration based on CTD results and laboratory analysis. This research was conducted in August 2017 in Bangka Strait waters with coordinate point S 02°14.548’ E 105°02.983’ in one of the fisherman chart by way of data retrieval by mooring with (hourly time difference) Measurement of parameters of waters using MIDAS CTD tool (Conductivity Temperature Depth) and water sampling for chlorophyll -a to be analyzed in laboratory was taken for the last three days using a dark bottle. The result of this study showed that the chlorophyll-a concentration obtained from CTD (C) ranged from 19. 886 mg/m3 to 174. 952 mg/m3 while the result of laboratory analysis obtained value of chlorophyll-a 0,37 mg/m3 to 17,92 mg/m3 and correlation of value of chlorophyll-a concentration on CTD (C) with analysis in laboratorium showed very weak correlation with corrlation value R2 of 0.1195.
