Abstract

PT. Putra Muba Coal is one of the coal mining companies located in Mekar Jadi Village, District Sungai Lilin, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. Coal mining is done by stripping the overburden first. The work system between the Digging-loading tool and the conveyance at PT. Putra Muba Coal has a coal production target of 180,000 tons/ month at the Pit Yudistira. The mechanical equipment consists of 2 Digging-loading units namely CAT 340D2 L Excavator with a capacity of 1,755 m3 and CAT 375L Excavator with a capacity of 1,355 m3 combined with 21 Hino FM 260 JD dump trucks with a capacity of 25.5 m3. The working series of this tool works on 1 working front of extracting and transporting coal. The excavation and loading patterns applied are Top Loading patterns with Single Back Up. Real production produced by the working combination is 160.083 tons / month, Effective work time will be evaluated to achieve monthly production goals. The effective working time in the company's plan has not been achieved where the working time of the excavator and conveyance is (71%) and in actual fact there is a difference in loading equipment (70%) for transport equipment (60%) so it is still possible to increased effective work time is done by reducing or suppressing the time of obstacles that can be avoided. The time that can be avoided is emphasized again so that work efficiency increases. Match Factor calculations whose values are obtained from the productivity of the excavator and conveyor and the effective working time obtained by the value of the work combination is obtained by a value of 0.95 - 0.87 (MF <1), which means the digging tool waits for the conveyance. Improvement of the working time of the transport equipment by reducing the work time that can be avoided is obtained by producing 180,454 which means the production target is reached.
