Abstract

The purpose of this descriptive research is to describe students’ ability to understand the concept of a variable linear inequality using a scientific approach. The sample was students of class VII-3 SMP Negeri 9 Palembang. Data were collected using written tests and videos. The results suggest that students’ ability to understand the concept of a variable linear inequality using a scientific approach is in a good category with average class score 77.45.
