Abstract

This study aim is to empirically prove the effect of profitability and asset structure to the value of the company with capital structure as an intervening. The research sample is the property and real estate sector companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the purposive sampling technique as many as 32 companies, with the research period 2012-2021. The unit of analysis are 320 observations. Data analysis technique with multiple linear regression using Eviews for data processing. The research results show that profitability has a significant positive effect on capital structure and value of the company. Asset structure is not significant to the capital structure and the value of the company while capital structure is positively significant to the value of the company This research is also able to prove that capital structure is able to partially mediate the effect of profitability on company value. But unable to mediate the effect of asset structure on company value. The research implication explains that the higher the asset structure does not lead to an increase in corporate debt in the property and real estate sector, even though the capital structure is able to have a significant influence on company value.
