Abstract

This study aims to determine how students’ time management using smartphones on Guidance and Counseling students at Sriwijaya University. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study is all Guidance and Counseling students at Sriwijaya University as many as 328 students. Sample as many as 180 respondents in this research with the simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using the time management scale, which was analyzed using the percentage analysis technique. The results obtained in this study are overall time management students who use smartphones as Guidance and Counseling students Sriwijaya University in the Moderate category (M) with 123 students wuth a percentage of 68%, this means that students can manage their time. Setting goals is the highest aspect, with an average value of 81.37, and aspect minimizing wasted time is the lowest aspect, with an average value of 59.00. Then based on gender, the students as a whole are in the Medium category (M) as many as 108 students from the total female students, with a percentage of 69% and an average value of 70.73. and as many as 15 students of the entire male students as a whole with an average value of 69.91, there is no significant difference in average scores between male and female students.
